1. “How a Young Entrepreneur is Taking Howell by Storm: Treyvon Hoskins’ Story

Treyvon Hoskins was just eight years old when he started offering to mow his neighbors’ lawns, and by the time he was 10, he had his own business cards. Now 14, the community has taken notice of his hard work and dedication. During a Howell City Council meeting, Hoskins was thanked for his service in a huge way.

Thanks to various donations, Hoskins received a Craftsman riding mower, a Honda push mower, work boots and socks, business cards, T-shirts, yard signs, door hangers, and fuel for the entire season. The gifts left Hoskins speechless as he expressed his surprise and gratitude to The Daily.

Councilmember Nikolas Hertrich first noticed Hoskins mowing lawns in the summer of 2021. Impressed by his work ethic and professionalism at such a young age, Hertrich rallied the city to gather donations to support Hoskins’ business, Treyvon’s Lawn Service. Several businesses and organizations stepped up to help including UPS driver Keith Ozment Agape City Church Byrum Ace Hardware Howell Western Wear First Impression Print Marketing Mugg Bopps.

Hoskins a freshman at Howell High School expressed his gratitude to the businesses and organizations that supported him. He explained that from a young age he knew he wanted to pursue a career in landscaping using Facebook he found customers even mowed neighbors lawns for free such as when a neighbor was in hospital.

At the City Council meeting there was a five-minute recess for everyone in attendance to view the new Craftsmans riding mower in the parking lot . Hoskins dreams of one day owning his own truck trailer as well as adding more employees to his business reflecting on how he always hoped for this day to come now that it has come he is excited for what the future holds
