AMC Theatres is expanding its movie distribution business, and Stephanie Tierney has been appointed Vice President of distribution to lead the charge. Tierney’s experience in marketing and brand partnerships will be a valuable asset as she collaborates with the music industry to create customized distribution strategies and marketing campaigns.
Kevin Arnold has also been promoted to Vice President of programming promotions & partnerships for AMC’s distribution venture. Along with Nikkole Denson-Randolph, he will work to bring more leading music artists to the big screen through AMC Theatres Distribution.
Last year, AMC Theatres disrupted the Hollywood studio system by distributing films like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Beyoncé’s Renaissance. These ventures grossed over $261.6 million and $43.9 million respectively, opening doors for movie theater operators to take on the role of a distributor.
Prior to her role at AMC, Tierney worked at Fandango leading the integrated marketing team, working with studios, exhibitors, and brand partners to drive consumer awareness and ticket sales. Her experience in partner marketing for various brands will be a valuable asset in her new role at AMC Theatres.
AMC’s Chief Content Officer, Elizabeth Frank, expressed excitement about the future of AMC Theatres Distribution with the expertise of Tierney and the leadership of Denson-Randolph. The success of their past projects has paved the way for an exciting new business venture for AMC.
