The Defense Sophisticated Investigation Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded BAE Systems’ Quick LabsTM investigation and improvement organization a $7 million contract for the Oversight autonomous space-primarily based target custody system.

Conventional space intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) collection can be siloed, labor intensive, and unable to dynamically re-evaluate rapidly sufficient to take benefit of new space systems. To address this, DARPA, the U.S. Space Force, and the Space Improvement Agency are establishing satellite constellations to boost the tactical relevance of U.S. space systems.
