In late 2023, Bobby Dean Orcutt was unable to find PTSD and anxiety disorder groups that met in person in the Tulsa area. Frustrated by the lack of resources, he turned to social media to reach out to others seeking mental health support. To his surprise, he discovered many individuals who were also struggling to find support.
Determined to make a difference, Bobby began organizing in-person events focused on mental health. Since the beginning of the year, he has hosted six events covering topics such as trauma, addiction, depression, healing, treatment through psychedelics, religion, and spirituality. Guest speakers like Sterlin Harjo and Mary Beth Babcock have shared their experiences and insights with attendees.
Bobby will be joining us on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to discuss the upcoming mental health event with artist Marlon F. Hall. If you are interested in learning more about the event or how you can get involved, click here for more details.
