The Browns have announced that they will sign former Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl XLVII MVP, Joe Flacco, to their practice squad on Monday. This news comes after Flacco had a successful workout with the team on Friday, impressing the Browns so much that they offered him a job.

At 38 years old, Flacco has been eager to play this year and had not received any significant interest until last week. After learning that their starting quarterback Joe Burrow would miss the rest of the season, the Bengals showed no interest in signing him.

With starters Deshaun Watson out for the rest of the year due to knee and shoulder injuries, the Browns were looking for additional options at quarterback. As a first-round pick in 2008, Flacco has previously played for the Ravens, Broncos, Jets, and Eagles. His return to the AFC North could potentially have an impact on the division.
