Cardinals safety Budda Baker has been placed on injured reserve and will be out for a minimum of four weeks. The team confirmed this news, stating that Baker will not be able to play until next month, at the earliest.
Baker missed the Cardinals’ Week Two loss to the Giants due to a hamstring injury, after participating in Week One. Despite his recent absence, Baker has been an exceptional player throughout his career, earning Pro Bowl honors in five of his last six seasons. It is worth noting that Baker had expressed his desire to be traded during the offseason. However, the Cardinals decided to give him a pay raise, and Baker ultimately expressed his contentment to remain with the team.
At 27 years old, Baker is currently in the final year of his contract and is set to become a free agent in March.
