On Wednesday morning, a stabbing occurred at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo. The incident took place around 9 a.m. inside the Strozzi Building, where three staff members were injured by a patient.

The Office of Mental Health is working closely with the Buffalo Police Department to investigate the matter. Their top priority is ensuring the safety of both their staff and those they serve. Thoughts are with the injured employees and their families during this difficult time.

According to local news outlet WIVB-TV, the stabbing took place shortly after 9 a.m., and two men and a woman were transported to the hospital by ambulance. One of the staff members is believed to be seriously injured, while the suspect was taken into police custody. The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time.
