UMD Bulldogs “ALLETE” Moments: Competitors
All through this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Energy, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the three C’s: Classroom, Competitors, Neighborhood.
The NSIC All-Sports Standings have been calculated following the 2022-23 academic year and the Bulldogs finished third general. The UMD men’s teams completed in sixth location, whilst the UMD women’s teams completed in fourth. This is the Bulldogs highest finish due to the fact winning 5 consecutive awards from 1999-2004.
Augustana earned the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) All-Sports Award as spring sports concluded in early May well. The Vikings earn the award for the seventh time due to the fact joining the league in 2008. The Vikings amassed 211. points to finish 1.67 points ahead of second location Minnesota State followed by Minnesota Duluth. Augustana, Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State and Winona State stay the only institutions to earn the award in its 20+ year history.
The NSIC All Sports Award is calculated by awarding the winner of each and every conference-sponsored championship points totaling the quantity of teams in that sport plus a single. The subsequent location finisher receives points totaling the quantity of teams significantly less the quantity of areas from 1st location. Ties in the standings at any level shall outcome in the totaling of points and equal distribution.
