In November 2019, a group of three juveniles were arrested for a series of burglaries that took place at businesses in Stafford. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Ryan Wilbur, the third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was apprehended earlier this month. The two other boys, ages 16 and 17, had been arrested previously and were placed in the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center.
The burglary spree began on November 9 at Nara Thai Cuisine and Stafford Tobacco and Vape Shop, both located on Garrisonville Road in North Stafford. Cash, wine, and vapes were stolen during these thefts. On December 8, the vape shop was burglarized again, along with Shaz Unique Studio Salon on the same road. Vapes, cash, and a laptop were taken during these heists. Two days later, Discount Tobacco and Vape on Deacon Road in the southern part of the county was broken into.
Deputies who were in the area were able to arrest the 16-year-old suspect at that time and connect him to other break-ins. Ryan Wilbur mentioned that surveillance camera footage helped police identify the suspects. All three teens are facing multiple charges, including breaking and entering, grand larceny, destruction of property, and conspiracy.
