On Friday, the Central High School football team will be competing in the PIAA Class 3A playoffs at Mansion Park. As the District 6 champion, they will face off against District 10 champion Hickory at 7 p.m. The last time they played was a double-overtime win over Clearfield in their first interdistrict game.
Cambria Heights, who recently won their first-ever District 6 championship, are headed to the state Class 1A playoffs with a Saturday matchup against District 4 champ South Williamsport at Williamsport High School. The game is set for 7 p.m. Saturday and promises to be an exciting showdown between two strong teams.
District 6 2A champ Bald Eagle Area and District 4 champ Southern Columbia will also be facing off on Friday at 7 p.m., with Bald Eagle Area playing away from home while Southern Columbia hosts the game at their own stadium. And finally, District 6 4A champ Juniata will be visiting District 4 champ Selinsgrove on Friday at the same time of day (7 p.m.) as these other games take place, making it a busy night for high school football fans in this area!
