Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Students Receive National Certification as Patient Care Technicians

CCCTC Health Academy Program students achieve certifications | Latest News, Sports, Employment opportunities

The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center Health Academy program recently announced that a group of Patient Care Technicians have been certified through the National Healthcareer Association. These students are essential in providing direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, performing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, collecting specimens, and offering support to patients and their families.

Pam Dawson, RN and Health Academy Instructor, commended the students for their dedication and success in earning this certification. She emphasized the competitive advantage that comes with national certification, whether the students choose to enter the workforce or pursue higher education. She is proud of the students’ accomplishments and looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the future.
