Elizabeth Olsen, who has gained fame for her roles in Marvel movies, and Charles Melton, known for his performance in May December, are set to star in the upcoming film Love Child. The project is being launched at this week’s European Film Market by Rocket Science. Love Child is a darkly comic movie directed by Todd Solondz and produced by Cindy Bru of Volition Media, Christine Vachon of Killer Films, and David Hinojosa of 2AM. The film is fully financed by Volition Media and Gramercy Park Media, with Rocket Science handling international sales at EFM.
In Love Child, the story follows a woman trapped in a loveless marriage who finds solace in her 11-year-old son. When a charming stranger enters their lives, the son hatches a plan to remove his father from their lives. The film brings together indie stalwart Vachon with director Solondz, who previously collaborated on films such as Happiness and Wiener Dog.
Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell were originally attached to the project before it was presented at the Marche du Film in 2021. Love And Death star Elizabeth Olsen recently appeared in an HBO Max miniseries while Charles Melton was acclaimed for his role in May December.
