Marko Pjaca (28) was overjoyed a month ago when he received the call to join the Croatian national team for the matches against Latvia and Armenia. Although many people predicted that Marc Pašalić would be selected and he would only have a chance of making the list, Pjaca was ecstatic about being included. He expressed his eagerness and enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating that he was physically prepared and thrilled to be back in the national team.

However, Pjaca’s happiness was short-lived as he experienced muscle pain and had to withdraw from the team to recover for the next match. To his disappointment, he was also ruled out of participating in the following match. Despite this setback, Pjaca remained optimistic about his career and believed that everything happened for a reason. He reflected on his injuries and how he tried not to dwell too much on them but instead focused on recovery and moving forward.

When asked about his career, Pjaca shared that watching the matches on TV kept him motivated during his recovery periods. He also mentioned keeping the silver medal from the 2018 World Championship in a special place at home as a reminder of his accomplishments. Throughout his career, Pjaca has faced numerous challenges with injuries, but he remains determined to make a full recovery and continue playing soccer. He is grateful for the opportunities he has had thus far and hopes to return to competition soon.
