The Hajduk players, led by their star player Marko Livaj, said farewell to their team “Fire” during the Euro qualifiers. Now, they are preparing for the continuation of the HNL with four rounds left until the end of the year. The leading team of the championship will face off against Istra 1961 in the first of these rounds on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The match could potentially break the record for the number of spectators at a home game for Istria, which currently stands at 7,500 spectators during a Cup semi-final against Rijeka. Istria has sold out all tickets for the southern stand and eastern stand for this game, where visiting fans and fans with Hajduk’s insignia can enter respectively. There are only tickets for the northern tribune remaining on sale.
With a capacity of around 8,900 seats and only 1,246 tickets left on sale as of now, it seems that attendance record at Istria stadium may fall before game day thanks to support from Hajduk fans who have purchased late tickets.
