Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, berries, apples, pears, onions, and garlic can help prevent many types of cancer. These foods are packed with antioxidants that fight cell damage and reduce inflammation, leading to better disease prevention.

Tomatoes contain lycopene, a potent antioxidant that fights many types of cancer. Studies have shown that lycopene can lower the rates of breast, prostate, and lung cancer by inhibiting cancer cell growth and regulating immune function. Beans are another anti-cancer food that is rich in fiber, minerals, and bioactive substances. Fiber-rich foods like beans can prevent colorectal cancer by reducing constipation and increasing the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids.

Green vegetables are also packed with fiber and protein and can inhibit the growth of cancer cells by up to 75%. Cruciferous vegetables like cabbage contain sulfur compounds that have strong anti-cancer properties. Berries like strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that prevent cell damage and inhibit the production of inflammatory compounds, reducing the risk of cancer.
