Emma Corrin, a young British actress who has received multiple awards for her work, is the guest on this week’s episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast. The episode was recorded in front of a group of film students at Chapman University.
Corrin, who is just 28 years old, spoke about her career-defining role as Princess Diana in season four of Netflix’s The Crown in 2020. She portrayed Diana from the age of 16 to 28 and received critical acclaim for her performance.
During the podcast, Corrin also discussed her personal journey of identity and her Emmy-buzzed performance in the FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World. In this series, created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, Corrin plays a character named Darby Hart in two different time periods six years apart.
In the first period, she is an amateur detective investigating cold-case murders with her then-boyfriend Bill. In the second period, she is an acclaimed author, invited to a billionaire’s retreat where Bill, who she hasn’t seen in six years and is now a famous artist, is found dead. This presents her with a personal mystery to solve.
Corrin has also appeared in several films including My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover and will soon be seen in Deadpool & Wolverine and Nosferatu. With such an impressive resume already under her belt at such a young age, it’s clear that Corrin is set for even greater success in the future.
