The “Fire” fans had a blast at the fan zone organized by HNS for the Croatia vs. Armenia match at Maksimir. They danced and sang to the hits of Mata Bulić and Tiha Orlić before the game, and then followed the action on the big screen that ultimately saw Croatia qualify for the Euro. However, despite their team’s victory, the celebration was short-lived.
Videos from the fan zone after the match show a modest crowd of around a dozen fans gathered in an empty parking lot. The reason for their departure is likely due to the fact that the game ended just before 11 pm, and the weather conditions were not ideal either. To make matters worse, it was Wednesday, which meant many people had to get up early for work.
The fans were left with nothing but plastic hours as they bid farewell to their team’s triumphant return to Europe.
