The theft occurred on Saturday afternoon when Tana McDrummond, wife of Blake and Cory, was outside cleaning up some items from the mall. She noticed that the gate was open and went inside to check on her husband and brother-in-law. When she entered their retail store, she discovered that their trailer had been taken.

The trailer was used daily by the McDrummonds for various purposes related to their estate and retail store cleaning business. It contained tools, equipment, and other items that were essential to their operations.
