J.J. McCarthy’s chance of being the second overall draft pick significantly increases.

The Chargers coach, Jim Harbaugh, has expressed his confidence in his former Michigan quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, by stating that he will be the first pick in the upcoming draft. Although this may seem unlikely, there is a growing belief that he could go as the second pick. DraftKings Sportsbook has adjusted their odds for McCarthy to be the second pick from +2500 to +500 following his impressive Pro Day workout and increasing rumors that the Commanders may choose him due to his national championship win in January.

However, many experts and analysts believe that LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels could be, or should be, the second overall pick. Chris Simms has ranked Daniels as the clear number two behind USC’s Caleb Williams. With just one month left until the start of the draft in Detroit, anticipation is building around which players will land where in the first round and how selections will play out. It promises to be an exciting event as fans eagerly await the announcement of each team’s picks.
