CW Sports Appoints Jason Wormser as Senior Vice President

The CW has appointed Jason Wormser as the Senior Vice President of CW Sports. In his new role, Wormser will be responsible for overseeing all production aspects of The CW’s sports portfolio, including live events such as LIV Golf, ACC college football, men’s and women’s basketball, and the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW Network, expressed excitement about bringing Wormser on full time. He cited Wormser’s passion, experience, and dedication to ensuring a compelling broadcast as invaluable assets to the network.

Prior to this appointment, Wormser served as the Vice President of Production, Soccer for Fox Soccer Channel, Fox and FS1. He supervised the behind-the-scenes crews responsible for broadcasting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2018.

Wormser expressed his gratitude for the opportunity by stating that in just one year – signing deals first with LIV Golf then adding ACC football and basketball, Inside the NFL and NASCAR Xfinity Series – they have set a solid foundation as they help grow The CW’s public awareness and provide value to the network’s affiliates nationwide.
