On Monday, representatives from Erie’s largest health systems will participate in a healthcare job fair. The Healthcare Career Expo, organized by the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, will take place at the Bayfront Convention Center from 2-7 p.m. The event will showcase various careers in the field and feature discussions on available healthcare positions in Erie, including opportunities for licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians, radiology technicians, counselors, and social workers.
In addition to information about healthcare jobs, attendees will have the chance to speak with professionals about finance, real estate, and insurance. The job fair is free to attend and will offer refreshments and raffles for participants.
Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced new regulations for federally funded nursing homes aimed at improving the quality of care provided. These rules will impact nursing facilities and home health care companies across the country.
