Joey Fingland, a senior at New Ulm Cathedral, has just shot an impressive 84 at the New Ulm Country Club during the opening leg of the Tomahawk Conference Golf Tournament. His outstanding performance helped lead the Cathedral boys team to an early advantage in the race for the conference title. In a recent interview with Travis Rosenau, Fingland revealed that his favorite golfer is Rory McIlroy, although he also admires Scottie Scheffler.
Off the golf course, Fingland enjoys watching baseball and softball, as many of his friends play those sports. When asked about his favorite food, he mentioned Wild Rock in Wisconsin Dells as the nicest course he’s ever played. Fingland also shared that his favorite movie is Captain America: Civil War. All of these interests and hobbies reflect a well-rounded athlete with a passion for golf and a love for other sports and activities.
