Kentucky Shines in U.S. News & World Report’s Top High Schools Rankings with Over 200 Schools Making the Cut

When it comes to determining the best places to live in America, there are a variety of factors to consider. Metrics such as population, cost of living, education and crime rates play a significant role in determining rankings. With data-driven platforms constantly changing, it is important to stay informed on the latest updates.

Recently, U.S. News & World Report reviewed nearly 25,000 public high schools across the country to compile an annual list of the best schools. Factors such as standardized testing results, graduation rates, College Board and International Baccalaureate exam data, as well as information from the U.S. Department of Education were used to determine rankings. Kentucky had over 200 schools make the cut, highlighting the state’s dedication to education.

In Kentucky, there were 226 schools that made U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best public high schools in the state. Some of the top schools included DuPont Manual High School and J. Graham Brown School in Louisville, Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, and Atherton High School in Louisville. Other notable schools on the list were Pikeville High School, South Oldham High School, and Ballad High School among others
