The season of linebacker Kyzir White with the Cardinals has come to an abrupt end as he tore his bicep during Sunday’s game against the Texans. Head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed on Monday that White’s injury will force him to sit out for the rest of the year.

Gannon commended White for trying to play through the injury before eventually leaving the game, calling it “gut-wrenching” to watch. Despite the setback, White is signed with the team until 2024.

In White’s absence, Krys Barnes stepped into his spot while Josh Woods took over calling the defense after White had to leave the game. With a team-high 90 tackles, two sacks, nine tackles for loss, and three passes defensed, White’s absence will be felt on the field. The Cardinals will have to adjust without his presence for the remainder of the season.
