The Mayo Clinic and Blanchard Valley Health System are joining forces to present an educational presentation titled “Live & Learn” on Thursday, November 30, 2023. This event will focus on the latest research and advancements in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

Dr. Bill Kose, vice president of special projects at BVHS, Dr. Derek Thomas, a physician with Armes Family Cancer Care Center, and Dr. Sandhya Pruthi, a physician from Mayo Clinic, will be among the presenters at this session. These experts will share their knowledge and insights on the most effective methods for preventing and treating breast cancer today.

As a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Blanchard Valley Health System is leading the way in Ohio when it comes to healthcare collaboration with Mayo Clinic. This partnership allows BVHS physicians to work closely with Mayo Clinic specialists to deliver cutting-edge medical knowledge and treatment options to their patients in Northwest Ohio.

By partnering with Mayo Clinic, BVHS doctors have access to the latest research tools and recommendations for cancer treatment. They can also consult with Mayo Clinic experts on complex cases or submit patient cases for evaluation. This collaboration has helped BVHS develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to each individual patient’s needs.
