McLeod Health Extends Warm Welcome to These Newly Joined Physicians

McLeod Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of two new physicians to their medical staff. Dr. Sonika Malik has joined the team at McLeod Pediatric and Adult Endocrinology in Florence, along with Dr. Meenakshi Pande and advanced practitioners Lindsay Powell, PA-C, and Lisa Woodberry, NP. Dr. Malik specializes in providing comprehensive care for patients with endocrine concerns, including conditions such as diabetes, thyroid/parathyroid disease, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, tumors affecting endocrine glands, and adrenal & pituitary disorders. With board certifications in internal medicine and endocrinology, Dr. Malik obtained her medical degree from Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College and Research Center in Pune, India in 2012. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in Ohio and has received fellowship training in gastrointestinal nutrition at The University of Chicago Medical Center and in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Texas Tech University Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Arrvind Raghunath has joined the team at McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates, joining Dr. Rajesh Bajaj, Dr. Ravneet Bajwa, Dr. Viji Motilal Nehru, Dr. Michael Pavy, Dr. Sreenivas Rao, and Dr. James Smith. As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Raghunath specializes in providing care for a wide range of cancer diagnoses. Some commonly treated cancers include thoracic and lung cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and blood-based cancers, sarcomas, melanomas, and gastrointestinal tumors. Dr. Raghunath is board certified in internal medicine and is board eligible in oncology and hematology. He earned his medical degree from SRM Medical College and Research Center in 2015 and completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in 2019. He furthered his training with a fellowship in Leukemia from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2020 and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2023.
