Royal Caribbean has just launched two new mega-ships, the Icon of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas. Both ships are equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and offer guests an unforgettable cruising experience. I had the chance to stay in both ships’ balcony staterooms and found a significant price difference of $130 per person per day between them. While the pricier cabin on Icon looked more modern, it lacked functionality and comfort compared to Wonder.
Staterooms with balconies are a popular choice among cruise passengers as they provide a private outdoor space to enjoy the sea breeze. However, not all cabins with private outdoor spaces are created equal, even on two new mega-ships owned by the same cruise line. The $900 price gap between the cabins on Icon and Wonder of the Seas demonstrates that more money does not always mean a better experience.
As a journalist, I believe that guests should carefully consider their needs and preferences when choosing a cabin while cruising with Royal Caribbean. There are many factors to consider, such as location, size, amenities, and pricing. With careful consideration, guests can find the perfect cabin that suits their needs and preferences while enjoying an unforgettable cruising experience on these new mega-ships.
