Today’s plan includes a range of observations utilizing ChemCam and Mastcam instruments to study the Murray formation. These observations will aid in understanding the area’s texture and chemistry. Furthermore, we have scheduled a small Mastcam mosaic to capture images of cross-stratification and nodules nearby. Additionally, a small MAHLI mosaic of “Berg Aukas” will be taken before moving on to our next location.
Following our drive, we will conduct standard post-drive imaging to provide context and assist in targeting for future observations. On the second sol, we have included an untargeted science block in our plan. This block will consist of a ChemCam autonomously selected target and a Mastcam observation to monitor the opacity of the atmosphere.
Overall, today’s plan is packed with various observations and activities aimed at enhancing our understanding of the terrain and atmosphere in this area of study. By completing these tasks, we hope to gather valuable data that will contribute to our overall mission goals.
