Live Score: Australia vs Namibia T20 World Cup 2024 – Namibia’s innings ends at 72, Gerhard Erasmus shines | Cricket News

Namibia’s captain Gerhard Erasmus was the only Namibia batter to score in double figures during their T20 World Cup match against Australia. The team scored a disappointing 72 runs before being bowled out by Australia at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Despite having half of their team fall for just 21 runs, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first in their Group B matchup.

With a win, Australia would secure their spot in the Super 8 stage of the tournament. They have already had a strong start with wins against Oman and England. Meanwhile, Namibia has had a mixed performance so far, winning their first match against Oman in a Super Over but losing to Scotland by five wickets.

The playing XIs for today’s match are as follows:

Australia XI: David Warner, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh (c), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stonis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

Namibia XI: Michael van Lingen, Nikolaas Davin, Jan Frylinck, Gerhard Erasmus (c), Zane Green (wk), David Wiese, Ruben Trumpelmann
