NASCAR Cup Race At Dover: Busch Leads Field, Hamlin Secures Top 10 Starting Position Despite Challenging Qualifying

On Sunday, Kyle Busch is set to lead the field at Dover Motor Speedway for the Cup race at 2 p.m. ET on FS1. He won the pole with a lap of 162.191 mph, marking his 34th career Cup pole and second at Dover. The top five in qualifying were Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Tyler Reddick, Noah Gragson, and Corey Heim who filled in for the injured Erik Jones in 32nd place with a lap of 159.327 mph. Notable drivers like Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, Michael McDowell, Alex Bowman, and AJ Allmendinger secured top 10 starting positions.

During qualifying, there were several notable incidents including Zane Smith and Kaz Grala being unable to take part due to crashes in Group B practice and Grala requiring the backup car after hitting the wall nose-first in his No. 15 Ford. Christopher Bell also spun during his opening lap and scraped the rear of the car against the outside wall. Despite these challenges, the green flag is set to wave at 2:11 p.m., with FS1 providing coverage beginning with NASCAR RaceDay at 1 p.m.
