Cross nation

The Fighting Knights Joust took spot at Crystal Springs Cross Nation Course, marking the initial meet of the 2023 higher college season. Hillsdale Higher College hosted the occasion.

Jackie Pan from Mills demonstrated her dominance in the girls’ senior race, finishing initial with a time of 18 minutes, 48.eight seconds on the two.95-mile course. Tauren Mitchell from Westmont came in second with a time of 20:13.eight. The prime 5 was rounded out by Kira Forsberg from Capuchino (20:40.six), Avelyn Liang from San Mateo (20:44.7), and Jordan Robinson from Hillsdale (21:07.six).

In the boys’ senior race, Rowan Henige from Sequoia secured initial spot comfortably with a time of 15:52.three. Theodore Mendonca from Hillsdale took second spot (16:41.six), Brendan Kennedy from Aragon placed fourth (17:24.three), and Mariano Beas from South City took sixth (17:41.).

Katelynn Ruiz from Watsonville claimed initial spot in the girls’ junior race with a time of 19:16.three. Naia Hsieh from Hillsdale completed second (19:54.two), and Lara Scanziani-Grijalvo from Oceana placed third (19:58.eight). In the boys’ junior race, Andrew Song from San Mateo completed just two seconds behind the day’s most effective time, securing initial spot.

Sacred Heart Prep runs at Farmer Invite

Each the SHP boys’ and girls’ varsity teams placed 13th at the Farmer Invitational 2023. The occasion took spot on a 3-mile course at Hayward Higher College. Kate Gray, a sophomore, had the prime placement for the SHP girls’ varsity group, finishing 57th out of 158 runners with a time of 21:17.55. In the boys’ varsity race, senior Nick Karros led SHP with a 25th spot finish out of 186 runners, finishing the race in 16:17.81.

Girls’ water polo

The Lady Knights snapped a two-game losing streak with a thrilling dwelling game against Leland-San Jose. Menlo’s Sofia Flieri scored the game-winning aim with just more than a minute left to play, major to a 7-six victory for the group. Sabina Sutaria had provided the Knights a 7-six lead with 1:23 remaining just before Leland tied it.

Boys’ water polo

In spite of Jackson Coleman’s impressive overall performance of 4 targets and 3 assists, the Knights fell to Los Gatos for the initial time in plan history. Nic Ekstrand contributed 3 targets and 3 assists, and Teddy Meeks added a single aim and 4 assists for Menlo.
