Spar CEO Hans K. Reisch has been appointed as the new CEO of Spar AG with immediate effect. The supervisory board of Spar Austria made this announcement on March 23, 2023. Reisch (61) will work together with the three existing board colleagues Mag. Markus Kaser, Mag. Paul Klotz and Mag. Marcus Wild to lead the company’s fortunes as a proven management team.

Dr. Gerhard Drexel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed his gratitude to Fritz Poppmeier for his decades of commitment and dedication to the company. He also thanked him for his service as a board member and wished him a speedy recovery from illness.

Reisch is a grandson of Spar founder KR Hans F. Reisch and has spent his entire professional life within the company in various functions. He has been a member of the board since 2001 and became deputy chairman in 2021, where he was successful for a year before taking over as CEO.
