The candidacy for the presidency of Confindustria, Italy’s largest business association, has come to an end with the presentation of Alberto Marenghi. Born in Mantua in 1976, Marenghi is currently the vice president of Confindustria with responsibility for organization, development, and marketing. He is also the CEO of his family-owned paper mill in Mantua. In addition to his role as vice president, he founded Cartiera Galliera in Padua in 2010 and served as its president and CEO until 2018. Currently, he is the vice president of Sumus Italia, a company based in Milan that focuses on sustainability.
