New Season, New Wins: Lenawee County High School Sports Kick Off with Soccer and Lacrosse Victories

Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

Spring is here, and the Lenawee County high school sports season is underway. On Monday, girls soccer teams took to the field. Clinton emerged victorious over Tecumseh with a score of 8-2. Aubrey Lauer scored an impressive six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Raiser contributed two assists to the win. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton. In another game, Monroe bested Blissfield 7-2.

Meanwhile, in lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview. The visiting team from Ohio proved to be a tough opponent. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh. Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
