Elon’s TK Simpkins and Nick Dorn have been named the winners of the CAA Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards for November 20, 2021. TK Simpkins has been named Player of the Week, while Freshman Nick Dorn has been named Rookie of the Week.

Sophomore TK Simpkins helped lead Elon to a 2-1 week at the Rock Hill Classic. He scored double figures in all three games, with 19 points in Friday’s win over IUPUI, 12 points in Saturday’s victory over Holy Cross, and 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists on Sunday against Winthrop. During the week, he had an average of 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists with a shooting percentage of 44% and making 4-of-10 from three. He also made an impressive performance by making 17 out of his 21 free-throw attempts in the games against IUPUI and Winthrop.

Freshman Nick Dorn averaged an impressive 11.7 points and 3.3 rebounds during Elon’s successful week. He had a standout game on Friday night where he knocked down four threes on nine attempts while scoring a career-high of
