Almost 100 Dong Nai workers hospitalized for suspected food poisoning

On May 15, about 100 workers of Dechang Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Giang Dien Industrial Park, Trang Bom district, fell ill with stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea after eating chicken Quang noodles and rice cakes during an afternoon meal. They were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. The medical center was overwhelmed by the influx of patients and had to mobilize all available doctors and nurses to provide care. Patients were forced to share beds in the emergency room, with stretchers and beds lining up along the aisle to accommodate everyone.

Despite initial suspicions of food poisoning, test results are yet to confirm the cause. One worker is in serious condition and requires a ventilator, while the rest are in milder conditions and have been sent home for monitoring. This incident is not an isolated one as similar cases have occurred in Long Khanh and Vinh Phuc recently. It highlights the importance of food safety and quality control measures in workplaces to prevent such incidents from happening again.

Dechang Vietnam Co., Ltd., which employs about 1,200 workers and specializes in providing high-quality consumer electrical product components, has had its share of foodborne illnesses. As such, it is crucial for companies to prioritize their employees’ health and well-being by ensuring that the food served in their facilities is safe for consumption. This includes investing in proper food handling practices, monitoring for potential contaminants, and implementing quality control measures that meet or exceed industry standards.

In conclusion, recent events underscore the importance of food safety measures in workplaces to prevent outbreaks of foodborne illnesses that can compromise employee health and productivity. Companies must prioritize these measures by investing in proper handling practices and implementing quality control protocols that meet or exceed industry standards to ensure their employees’ health is protected at all times.
