Famous ski and snowboard manufacturer files for bankruptcy

In an effort to clarify the financial and organizational requirements for a restructuring plan application, Antero GmbH, the debtor, intends to continue operations. The company was founded in 2009 with the goal of building a new ski and snowboard production facility for premium-class products in F├╝rnitz. However, the pandemic and its consequences resulted in over-indebtedness due to falling retail sales figures.

Antero GmbH currently has three employees and operates an online platform that offers individual snowboards, winter sports items, textiles, a community, entertainment features, and current information for fans of the board sports scene. The company also provides products for companies that produce individual small series for special occasions.

Bankruptcy proceedings have been opened at the Klagenfurt Regional Court over Antero GmbH’s assets. The liabilities amount to 2.274 million euros and around 600,000 euros relate to profit participation rights. The accumulated loss in the 2022 financial year was 854,000 euros with negative equity of 489,000 euros.
