EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Soon after serving the neighborhood for decades, P.M. Sleep Center in Eau Claire is going out of small business.
P.M. Sleep Center has been in Eau Claire considering the fact that 1981. Shop owner, Mike Bloss, stated closing down is a bittersweet moment for him.
“I’m definitely searching forward to retirement. But then of course, you leave all these people today in the memories and that is going to be bitter,” Bloss stated.
Bloss stated he’s closing up shop so he can retire and that compact organizations like his are getting a really hard time maintaining up with massive makers.
“The Online has captured about 30% of the bed small business. And a major percentage of the furnishings small business, as well. And now we have 1 of our the greatest mattress makers just purchased out a three,000 shop chain. So if our makers are going to get started promoting direct, that that definitely bodes poor for the future of this variety of shop,” Bloss stated.
Bloss stated a lot has changed considering the fact that he began promoting mattresses 52 years ago.

P.M. Sleep Center was a small business adventure Bloss took on with his 1st wife.

He stated by means of the ups and downs, it was his workers and loyal clients that helped the small business succeed.
“As far as workers, I’ve had the very best and most of them I’m so proud of. I also want to thank the Eau Claire neighborhood. They’ve normally been supportive,” Bloss stated.
Bloss stated he has not nailed down a definitive closing date however, but it will be sometime in August.
P.M. Sleep Center is getting a going out of small business sale, and Bloss stated he hopes to see the furnishings fly out of the shop.
