Heading into Monday night’s game between the Saints and Panthers, the biggest injury question mark was next to Panthers wide receiver DJ Chark’s name. Fortunately, his status has been revealed, and he is active for the game after missing Week One with a hamstring injury. Despite this, Chark has been a limited participant in practice throughout the week.
On the other hand, there are several players who will not be taking the field for the Panthers. Running back Raheem Blackshear, cornerback Sam Webb, linebacker DJ Johnson, guard Nash Jensen, and tackle David Sharpe are all listed as inactive.
As for the Saints, running back Kendre Miller will be unable to play due to a hamstring injury, even though there was some uncertainty surrounding his status. In his absence, the Saints have elevated Tony Jones Jr. to join Jamaal Williams in the backfield.
In addition to Miller, the Saints will also be without wide receiver A.T. Perry, wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr., wide receiver Kirk Merritt, offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri, and defensive end Kyle Phillips. These players are all listed as inactive for the game.
