In Stow, a pilot escaped injury on Sunday morning immediately after a plane from the Globe War I era crashed close to Barton Road and the American Heritage Museum. The plane, which had only the pilot on board, crashed due to a failure in the front landing gear. Luckily, the pilot was in a position to exit the aircraft unharmed. The Federal Aviation Administration is at present investigating the incident. Initial findings indicate that the collapse of the landing gear brought on the aircraft, a single-engine Nieuport 28, to flip more than onto its roof. Additional particulars are at present unavailable.
