The Posen football team continues to build momentum, as they powered past Charlton Heston with a 64-6 victory. Jack Romel led the team with four total touchdowns, while Ethan Romel and John Ennest each scored two touchdowns. The Vikings, who have a record of 4-0, will face Mio next Thursday. In their four games this season, Posen has scored 216 points and only allowed 46 points to their opponents. Jack Romel had an impressive performance in Friday’s game, with 169 yards and three touchdowns rushing, as well as 131 yards and a touchdown passing. Ethan Romel rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, while Ennest had 96 yards and two touchdowns on just three carries. Eli Chojnacki contributed with 61 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards, while Logan Timm added 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Chojnacki had seven solo tackles and seven assists, Ennest had two sacks, and Colton Paull had six solo tackles and two assists.
In soccer, the Alcona team secured their first win of the season by defeating Fairview 8-0. It was a team effort, as they got goals from eight different players including Preston Sharp, Cole Upper, Colin McKenna, Carter Upper, Dawson Rigby, Anthony Perez, Vinny Mahalak, and Vincent Nardi. Alcona, with a record of 1-3-2, will play their next game under the lights at Oscoda next Monday at 7 p.m.
