Suspicious Package Leads to Evacuation of Business in Lower Macungie; Route 100 Now Open Again | Lehigh Valley Regional News

A suspicious package at the Ryder Logistics warehouse on Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania led to the evacuation of a business and part of Route 100. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, causing heavy traffic in the area.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky confirmed that the area was evacuated, and part of Route 100 was temporarily closed. While the road has since reopened, Congdon Hill Drive remains closed at Spring Creek Road as investigations continue.

The Allentown Bomb Squad was called to assist in the investigation shortly after 2 p.m., along with K9s and the state police explosives team. The investigation is ongoing as of 4:30 p.m., with multiple businesses located near Ryder Logistics being evacuated as a precaution.
