Southwestern Veterans’ Center Presents Lucrative Health Care Opportunities to Boost Careers

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is currently focusing on promoting job opportunities in long-term health care at the Southwestern Veterans’ Center (SWVC) in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. The SWVC is looking to hire registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, and nurse aide trainees. Onsite interviews and conditional offers may be given during the job fair. Two forms of identification are requested to be brought along. The SWVC job fair will take place on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 7060 Highland Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

Working at the SWVC offers individuals the chance to advance their careers in health care, acquire new skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of colleagues who share a passion for caring for veterans. The SWVC is one out of six veterans homes operated by the DMVA.

The Commonwealth employment provides competitive pay, time off, retirement, and various other benefits. To gain more insight into the Commonwealth’s Total Rewards benefits package, please visit employment.pa.gov/benefits.

Additionally, the SWVC organizes weekly Walk-in Wednesday hiring events from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM throughout the year, which offer the public a convenient way to explore employment opportunities and potentially receive instant job offers without needing to schedule an interview.
