Hollidaysburg native Paul Frederic Anderson, 44, passed away at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio, the middle son of Terry and Marci Anderson. Paul had one older brother, David, and a younger brother, Michael.
Paul graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1998 and later attended Duke University where he earned a degree in economics in 2002. In addition to his time spent in Hollidaysburg, he also had homes in Austin, Texas and Pittsburgh as well as parts of Maryland.
Paul was an avid sports fan and had grown up playing basketball with his brothers before starring on the Hollidaysburg high school team. He loved his Duke Blue Devils, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions.
Paul is survived by his parents and brothers and their respective families. David and Emily Anderson are parents to Sydney, 18, and Jack, 14 while Michael and Jana Anderson are parents to Misha, 14, Luke, 13, and Maggie, 10. His family adored him deeply and his face would light up anytime they came to visit.
In lieu of flowers or visitation service donations are being requested to be made to your favorite charity in Paul’s memory. Arrangements for the funeral service have been made by Plank Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home at 421 Montgomery Street in Hollidaysburg where condolences may be sent through their website or Facebook page.
