The new Minister of Defense, Ivan Anušić, recently shared his educational background with members of Parliament. He revealed that he left high school at 17 to join the war and returned in 1993 to finish his studies. After completing high school, Anušić took out a loan to attend the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb, where he earned a bachelor’s degree last year.
However, there was an error made by Parliament when they assumed that Anušić had completed his studies. When asked about his education by the administration of the Faculty of Kinesiology, it was confirmed that he is currently enrolled in the professional graduate study in Coach Education. Anušić completed his undergraduate professional study in Coach Education in 2021 and is now working towards his professional specialist title in coaching.
Anušić has completed six semesters of undergraduate studies and is now pursuing an additional four semesters for graduate-level studies. He stated that he plans to continue studying during his time as Minister of Defense and will put forth significant effort to complete the program.
Overall, Anušić’s dedication to education is commendable, despite any initial misconceptions about his level of completion.
