On November 25, the City of Medina will be participating in Small Business Saturday to promote local businesses within the city. This is part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010 to help businesses draw in more customers. It is dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country and helping them thrive.

Small Business Saturday takes place every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday at the height of the holiday shopping season. This year, Medina will celebrate on November 25th starting at 11 am, with a table set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square with “Shop Small” handouts and info about Medina’s small business community. Santa will also be dropping by from noon-2 pm at Wichert Insurance, 119 N. Court St.

According to a recent press release from Main Street Medina, in this city, 90% of the business district store fronts are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs and a wide range of services. To learn more about these local businesses or how you can support them during Small Business Saturday, contact Main Street Medina Executive Director George Sam at george@mainstreetmedina.com or visit their website for a full list of local businesses:
