About 20 men and women, such as teenagers and their parents, spent Wednesday evening speaking about mental overall health and methods to deal with conflict at the second session of the Teen Mental Overall health Verify-In. This occasion was held by the Girls Dig Deeper Initiative (GDDI) and Macon Mental Overall health Matters (MMHM) at the Rosa Jackson Recreation Center.
“We talked about how we are feeling, what mental overall health implies to us, indicators and symptoms of prime mental overall health diagnoses and how to determine them,” stated GDDI Founder Najiva Timothee. “Everyone in the space was engaged—listening, taking notes and asking inquiries.”
MMHM offered info about resolving conflict, meditation, relaxation, and grounding methods for anxiousness prevention. Teens also discovered about diverse mental overall health challenges and how to cope with them.
“Even although we are closing out May perhaps for Mental Overall health Month, I encourage our youth and households to continue to prioritize their mental overall health and wellness on a each day basis,” stated Timothee.
