The Hollidaysburg Area High School boys tennis team continued its unbeaten streak with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Altoona. With a record of 1-4, Altoona secured a singles win from Luke Mitchell and the doubles team of Aiden Aiken and Avery Lanzendorfer. Meanwhile, the Golden Tigers claimed singles victories from Garrett Bouchard and Michael Waibel, as well as the doubles team of Alex Arbogast and Jacob Sidney.

On the baseball field, Central defeated Penns Valley 19-9 in six innings. Mason Byler earned the win in relief and struck out four, while Jay Hoenstine had three hits and four RBIs. Troy McNichol contributed three hits and three RBIs, Griffin Snowberger added three hits and two RBIs, and Britton Marko chipped in with two hits and three RBIs to lead the Dragon offense.

Central scored 19 runs on 11 hits, while Penns Valley managed only 9 runs on 7 hits. The game saw strong offensive performances from multiple players on both sides, including Hoenstine, McNichol, and Snowberger for Central, and Penns Valley’s pitcher Byler who struck out four batters in relief.
