The 4-H Animal Science Club held its first meeting of the year at the Boyle County Extension building on September 5. Over 75 students attended the meeting, where they learned about various animals, including dairy cows and goats, sheep, pigs, and poultry. The students were given the opportunity to witness a cow being milked by the Southland Mobile Dairy and also had a chance to learn how to make butter. Additionally, Jaymie Ross demonstrated the process of making goat milk soap. Emily Violette, Ray Graves, and Taylor Graves generously provided the animals for the event. A photo of Jaymie Ross addressing the group was submitted.
