One of the favorite picks of the draft was Cedric Gray, who was originally considered for the fifth overall pick. Gray’s selection in the fourth round has the potential to be a steal for the team. However, overall, this draft class lacks excitement unless T’Vondre Sweat can develop into a pass rusher.
On the opposite end of things, T’Vondre Sweat was not well received as he is a defensive tackle from Texas but lacks pass rush abilities for NFL level making his value questionable for an early second-round pick. If Sweat can make adjustments and become a three-down player, this pick may pay off in the long run.
Apart from Latham and Sweat, the Titans selected Jarvis Brownlee Jr., Jha’Quan Jackson, James Williams, and Jaylen Harrell in later rounds of the draft. Each of these players will have to prove themselves and show their value to the team in the upcoming season.
